Pattison's Academy is Hiring a Communications and Engagement Manager Near Charleston, SC
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations or community engagement, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Proficiency in social media management, content creation, and website management.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Creative thinker with a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Commitment to the values of inclusion, diversity and equity.
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to increase awareness of Pattison's Academy's mission, programs, and impact.
- Manage all aspects of the organization’s communication channels, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases.
- Create engaging content, including written articles, graphics, videos, and other mulitmedia materials, to effectively communicate our message to diverse audiences.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, community partners and the media.
- Plan and coordinate community engagement events, fundraisers, and outreach activities to foster connections and support for Pattison’s Academy.
- Lead the organization’s branding efforts, ensuring consistency and alignment with our mission and values across all communication materials.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in communication and engagement to continuously enhance our efforts.
